A Novel Approach...

centered on the personal development of the child

The Oui Love Learning program incorporates French, English and Spanish, but also etiquette, human values, the arts and yoga.

“The human race finds its richness in communication, mutual support and solidarity toward a common goal: the development of each while respecting our differences.”  - Françoise DOLTO

French – English Immersion
English taught as a second language gradually takes on the same importance as the native language and is integrated into daily school activities and lessons throughout the year. The English expression becomes natural and children are involved in their learning.

Spanish Introduction
Children are introduced to the language through singing and role-playing games and are taught using the same method as French and English.

Human Values and Etiquette
This instruction will take place daily in the form of interactive games and theater.  The ideals of proper etiquette and respect for others will be reinforced in context of everyday life whether at school, with family, visiting public places, visiting the elderly, or at table.  We will incorporate the universal human values such as: truth, correct conduct, peace , love and non-violence.

The Visual Arts
This discipline allows children to appropriate tools, techniques and working methods that enrich their expression skills and artistic sensitivity. The projects we implement are anchoring in pedagogical approaches , in conjunction with the exhibitions of the various museums of Guadeloupe and exhibitions. Collective work "annual" is structured around the creation of one or more works of art for which or where children work all year round. These productions will result in an exhibition at the end of the year.

Dance and music
Music appreciation is beneficial in all areas of a child's growth, but especially for their physical, social and emotional development. Music-oriented activities encourage children to develop their self-esteem and their sense of belonging to a group.  Simple choreography promotes, taking direction, cooperation and mutual support.

Theater
Theater is a discipline that allows the development of self-confidence and self-awareness.  The child learns how to occupy space, move their body, memorize and use their imagination for self-expression via a character.  It improves their speaking and helps them to discover that words convey emotion.  The child controls their breathing and vocal intensity.  This activity channels the energy of the most active children and helps alleviate the timidity of the shy.

Yoga
Yoga improves focus while developing self-esteem, creativity and imagination. Yoga enables children to engage with their bodies through concentrating on breathing and movement. Yoga also increases physical strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination.  Furthermore, yoga combats negative thinking, encourages emotional control, and is beneficial to growth and development.
