The idea of establishing a tri-lingual school has been germinating in Dominique Dupont’s mind for a long while. The seed was planted when she arrived in Guadeloupe after receiving her Masters in Spanish at the University of Toulouse (Le Mirail) and working in the United States. She observed that although Guadeloupe is relatively close to North and South America, holds a strategic, central geographical position in the Caribbean and is surrounded by English and Spanish-speaking islands - its residents did not speak either language on a large scale. From Dupont’s view it seemed obvious that teaching English and Spanish from an early age could impart a considerable social, economic and cultural asset to an island that has experienced chronically high unemployment rates among its youth.

In 2006 she created a foreign languages department focusing on ages 3-12 and has seen positive results through an innovative method of placing children at the heart of learning. A common theme in her endeavors is that children do not undergo education; they instead become true and principal actors in their learning. The acquisition of sounds and expression is not only an end goal, but also a fun, playful process that becomes second nature. The results abound quickly and children’s progress is amazing!Encouraged by her success and ready to move forward with her long-standing dream, Dupont happened to meet American, English instructor Candace Hamilton on an educational trip to Orlando in July 2013. The pair bonded quickly and moved forward with developing their teaching method and establishing the value system on which they’ve based the trilingual kindergarten «OUI LOVE LEARNING».
